in the Department of Art & Design are accredited through the National

types of art including drawing, painting,
weaving, printmaking, photography, design,

University of Mississippi (also known as Ole Miss) opened its doors to
students in 1848. The Department of Art at the University of Mississippi
is a community of artists and art historians dedicated to creating students
with a career as designers, researchers, educators and artists. Areas
of study are: Art History, Ceramics, Painting,
Printmaking, Sculpture, Graphic Design
and Photo/Imaging Arts. Undergraduate degrees on offer are: Art History
(BA), Studio Art (BA, BFA). Graduate degree available, a Master of Fine
Arts (MFA) with studies in Ceramics, Painting, Printmaking and Sculpture.
