Solomon Gallery

Founded in 1981, the Solomon Gallery is one of the top contemporary art galleries in Ireland. Located in the Powerscourt Townhouse in South William Street, central Dublin, the Gallery represents International as well as Irish artists working primarily on figurative painting.

Exhibitions

Art shows are staged in Gallery I of the Solomon Gallery every three weeks, focusing largely on solo shows. In addition, the Gallery stages three annual group exhibitions. Prices of Gallery artworks typically range from 750 to 25,000 euros.

The Solomon Gallery provides full-time representation to more than 30 contemporary Irish and International visual artists. These include: Peter Collis, Colin Davidson, Margaret Egan, Trevor Geoghegan, Rowan Gillespie, James Hanley, Rachel Burke, Comhghall Casey, Mary Theresa Keown, James MacKeown, John Bellany, Alexandra Wejchert, Charlie Whisker, Marj Bond, Declan Boyle, Dale Chihuly, Clifford Collie, Orla de Bri, Ana Duncan, Leo Higgins, Michel Maly, Hector McDonnell, Trudie Mooney, Patrick O'Reilly, Victor Richardson, Bob Ryan, Anthony Scott, Sarah Spackman, Imogen Stuart, Brien Vahey, David Williams-Ellis, and Keith Wilson. Works by these artists are featured in rotating displays in Gallery II.

Art Consultancy Services

In line with its experience of the Irish art market, the Solomon Gallery provides free advice on how to start or expand a private or corporate art collection, including guidance on how to buy and sell paintings and sculpture at auction. As well as offering works from their own artists, the Solomon Gallery sources art from numerous other dealers and galleries. Other services include hanging, delivery and art valuations, details of which are available on request.

Fine Art Collection

The Solomon Gallery constantly deals in important twentieth-century modern and contemporary Irish art and maintains a fine collection of paintings by artists such as Louis le Brocquy, Patrick Scott, Tony O’Malley and John Shinnors which is available for viewing by appointment.
