Naughton Gallery at Queen's UniversityOpened in 2001, the Naughton Gallery (a registered museum) is one of the best known venues of the Ireland visual arts scene north of the border. Named after its benefactors Martin and Carmel Naughton, it is situated in the Lanyon Building at Queen's University, Belfast. Together with Queen's Film Theatre and the annual Belfast Festival, the Naughton Gallery forms part of the university's Culture and Arts Division. Over the past few years the Gallery has established itself as one of Belfasts most exciting visual arts venues, featuring a rolling program of artworks from the Universitys own Permanent Collection, as well as temporary exhibitions by both international and Irish artists. |
