Gallery of PhotographyFounded in 1978, the Gallery of Photography is now Ireland's preeminent photographic venue, hosting exhibitions involving many of the major artists and names in contemporary fine art photography. Since 1995, the Gallery of Photography has occupied a purpose built space with fully fitted darkrooms in Meeting House Square, and is one of the Dublin's important visual arts centres. The Gallery, being a non-profit organization, is financed by the Arts Council, the Dublin Corporation and donations from members and other art-lovers. It is one of the most interesting contributors to visual arts in Ireland. Group Visits and Opening Hours The Gallery of Photography welcomes Groups who may tour the premises and receive talks on the current exhibition, free of charge. Note: the Gallery of Photography exhibition spaces and darkroom facilities are completely accessible for wheelchair-bound individuals. The Gallery is open Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11am-6pm; Sundays, 1-6pm. |
