Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle

Established in 1914, Cornish College of the Arts is a private non-profit college for the visual arts and performance. It offers a 4 year Bachelor of Music degree and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in art, design, dance, theater and performance production. Major Fields of study include types of art such as painting, print, sculpture, video and photography. Dance majors available include performance, choreography and teaching. Design majors available in interior design, motion and visual communications. Music degrees in vocal and composition. Performance production degrees in lighting, costume, scenic and set design as well as technical direction and stage management. Theatre studies available in acting and performing arts.

Northwest College of Art, Poulsbo

About
Northwest Art Center was founded in 1982 by Craig Freeman, a San Francisco Bay Area artist. Program majors are available in Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Fine Art, Photography, Interactive Design, Motion Design and Entertainment Art. The Fine Art major prepares students for entry level careers as a studio artists or illustrators. The foundation course embraces drawing, photography and media. Further study in painting and drawing in studio courses prepare students for a career in fine art. Northwest College of Art is a degree-granting independent college that is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). The college is authorized by ACCSC to confer a Baccalaureate of Fine Arts (BFA) and a double major degree in Visual Communication.

University of Washington School of Art, Seattle

About
The University of Washington was founded in 1861, and is one of the oldest state-supported institutions of higher education on the Western Coast. The School of Art offers Undergraduate majors in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts, Painting, Drawing, PhotoMedia, Ceramics, Glass and Sculpture. It also offers courses in Fibers and Printmaking. Graduate majors are available in Painting, Drawing, PhotoMedia, Sculpture, Glass and Ceramics. Students are expected to prepare and deliver public presentations as well as participate in group and individual exhibitions. An undergraduate BA in Art History is available. Further studies can result in a MA and a PHD in Art History.

Annual Tuition Fee: Resident undergraduates $8,701 and out of state undergraduates: $25,329.

Washington State University, Department of Fine Arts, Pullman

About
Washington State University's (WSU), Department of Fine Arts offers undergraduate studies in the History of Art, Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Digital Media, Ceramics, Photography and Printmaking. Degrees offered are BA, BFA and MFA. The Fine Arts Studio Faculty consists of practicing artists who exhibit regularly nationally and internationally. Working with professionals ensures students learn first hand about developing a career in art. The WSU Art History Faculty offers courses in Ancient Roman Art, fifteenth and sixteenth century Renaissance Art, 20th Century Visual Culture, Cultures of Native North America as well as Oceanic art (Pacific Islands. Ceramics facilities include special kilns for salt and raku firing. Individual studio spaces are awarded competitively each year to undergraduate students. Visiting artists often exhibit or create an installation in Gallery 2, the exhibition space within the Fine Arts Center. Gallery 3 is managed by undergraduate students and provides special exhibition and curatorial opportunities.

Annual Tuition Fee: Non residents: $9,817 (undergraduate) $10,825 (graduate) and resident: $4,296 (undergraduate) $4,426 (graduate).
